STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. The Trinity
We affirm that there is one God, eternally existing in three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—coequal in power, glory, and divine essence.
Scripture:
-
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.” — Deuteronomy 6:4 (ESV)
-
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19 (ESV)
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” — 2 Corinthians 13:14 (ESV)
2. The Bible
We affirm that the Holy Scriptures—the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments—are inspired, authoritative, and sufficient. They are the final rule for faith, life, and doctrine.
Scripture:
-
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” — 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (ESV)
-
“Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” — John 17:17 (ESV)
“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” — Isaiah 40:8 (ESV)

3. Man and Sin
We affirm that humanity was created in the image of God yet fell through willful disobedience, resulting in universal sin, separation from God, and spiritual death.
Scripture:
-
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” — Genesis 1:27 (ESV)
-
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23 (ESV)
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” — Jeremiah 17:9 (ESV)
4. Salvation
We affirm that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus—the eternal Son—lived a sinless life, died as our substitute, and rose bodily for our justification. All who trust in Him are forgiven, made new, and reconciled to God.
Scripture:
-
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of your own doing; it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8–9 (ESV)
-
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (ESV)
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9 (ESV)

5. Sanctification
We affirm that all believers are called to lifelong growth in holiness, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Sanctification is both a definitive work of God and a progressive journey as believers walk in obedience.
Scripture:
-
“For this is the will of God, your sanctification…” — 1 Thessalonians 4:3 (ESV)
-
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” — 2 Peter 3:18 (ESV)
“Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16 (ESV)
6. The Church
We affirm that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all true believers. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, observe the ordinances, and build up one another in faith and love.
Scripture:
-
“Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.” — 1 Corinthians 12:27 (ESV)
-
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” — Acts 2:42 (ESV)
“Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” — Ephesians 5:25 (ESV)

7. The Great Commission
We affirm that Jesus commands His followers to proclaim the Gospel to all peoples, making disciples, baptizing them, and teaching them to walk in His ways. Every believer and every church is called into this mission.
Scripture:
-
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” — Matthew 28:19–20 (ESV)
-
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” — Acts 1:8 (ESV)
-
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” — 1 Peter 2:9 (ESV)
